Synopsis:
The Illusion, or L’abbaglio in Italian, is a 2024 Italian historical drama film directed by Roberto Andò, starring Toni Servillo and centered on Giuseppe Garibaldi’s 1860 campaign to unify Italy. The story follows a motley crew of soldiers, including a Sicilian colonel and an illusionist, who must use clever tactics to overcome a numerically superior Bourbon army to take Palermo.
